itaewon class
Recently, I had finished a good Korean drama called “Itaewon class”. It’s a story about a boy who experienced lots of unfortunates but he didn’t give up and eventually becomes successful. The main character, Park Saeloye, is a passionate and principled boy. Don’t yield to force and a strong sense of justice is his belief.
In the beginning, the high school student, Saeloye, couldn’t stand that the second actor kept bullying other classmates because his family is a big consortium of Korea. Thus, Saeloye fought with the second actor and refused to apologize. Even though the second actor, Mr. Chung’s father is the most powerful man in the business field, Saeloye remains his belief. But his father who worked for the Chung family was fired due to Saeloye’s fault. To start a new life, Saeloye and his father decided to open a restaurant. However, Saeloye’s father had a car accident which caused by Mr. Chung and died. Feeling disappointed and angry, Saeloye hit Mr.Chung then arrested by polices. Finally, he was sentenced. To revenge, he made an eight-year plan to defeat the Chung family. He opened a store and cooperated with different kinds of people, such as transmigrants, transgender, and people of Afro ethnic. Experienced different challenges, Saeloye finally revenge successfully and replaced the Chung family- become the most powerful consortium in Korea.

This drama makes a big hit not only because of the actors and actresses but the different beliefs that relate to our life value. It’s not an old fashioned plot about revenge; however, rather than how to revenge, the director wants to convey that “ Although being suppressed by the social reality, the belief is the only thing that supports you and makes you become the person that you want. Every character in this drama has its personality and value of life, the setting also related to their future. For example, the Chung family regarded the employees as the tool to make money and don’t care about employees’ feeling; on the contrary, Saeloye seemed they like the most important friends and treat them sincerely. In the end, Saeloye won the trust and became the leader of catering; however, the Chung family lose the confidence of people.

I strongly recommend this drama for those who ever seen it. There are lots of life values that I agree with. This is not only a drama but an inspiring story. If you have time, why don’t you take a look at the annual popular drama- Itaewon class?
